Yeh Liu and Kee Lung
Woke up at 10.45am. Nicholas the Korean guy woke up and looked at me and said, they left? Apparently, the gals had left and at that moment, Barry, the hong kong guy came and asked the same question. I thought i told them we're leaving at 11am? Anyway, so we went to take our shower and when i came out of the bathroom and went to the reception area which was where my room was located, the gals came out from our room and say aHH! They actually went out for some shopping at i dono what ungodly hour. They came and looked for us and when they can't find us they thought we left and nearly freaked out. Haha. So by the time we left the house, it was around 11.30am. Bought some sandwiches on our way to the station, took the metro to the Taipei Main Station and switched the ride to a public bus to Yeh Liu. The cost is about NT$110 and the ride took us 1 1/2 hour. I slept most of the way there, as i slept late last night. The place is very nice and peaceful, sending me a sense of serenity immediately when i set my foot down on the ground.

I like the place very much. Maybe i have never been to a seaside village before. >.< Don't think it is a good place to stay though. Lol.

The road leading up to this village is actually full of hairpin curves and road is wide enough for racing. The place being located at a mountain reminds me immediately of Initial D. Woot! And don't think there are no racing cars in this small village. After seeing a few subaru, honda civic and this Porsche Boxster, i really wonder if there is a night racing here.

All the engines of the normal racing cars sound different too. So Mr Porsche might not be winning if they really do have night race or something.

This 3 stupid dogs keep walking around each other. Nono.. Actually 2 of them keep pushing their butts against one another while the other one walk around them. Haha. We went straight for the Geological Park. Entrance fee to walk the path cost about NT$50 for an adult. Student is half the price.

The light house is my destination. Looks near but is actually quite a walking distance.. >.< This place is basically about rocks. Rocks that looks like mushrooms. Why the appearance? Its something to do with the erosion done by the sea and rain. Through many many years of scuplting by their fine waves.. The final look of the rock looks like this.

Look at the shape of the soil.. ALIEN INVASION!!

Some of the holes are carved so nicely that you could sit in them. lol. Thats Nicholas.

Thats the destination im talking about. Looks so nice, like a scenery out of Lord of the Rings. Lol. Guess i dream too much. >.<

Before taking the top picture. I didn't even notice the red line or the sign. Haha. No wonder im the only one there taking pictures. >.<"

Everywhere you see beautiful stones made by nature. And the star attraction of this geographical location is a rock they call the Queen's head.

Beautifully taken by the artist himself. ^^ If you can't tell its a head with a crown on it, you probably get F in your arts class.

We made our way up to my destination, the rain was pouring quite heavily and most of the visitors have decided to go back for shelter, i carried on with the trekking and the rest were following willingly behind. Until the lightning and thunder starts to happen more frequently. Haha. they gave up just as we were about to reach the top and waited for me to finish my route. Nicholas was sent to look for me while they waited and waited. Nothing much to see, much to my disappointment. Maybe its also due to the bad weather, the scenery is pretty much foggy. As we made our way down, at one particular area where the trees and branches are very near. We were attacked by a swarm of mosquitoes.. About 100 of them at least. Am i joking about the amount? No! What the hell, Right infront of my eyes, i see them flying to my arms and legs. you can see at least 3 of them landing at your right hand and another few on your left. OMG!! So i kept swiping and hitting them while i hurried down. The korean gals infront of me, stood there and starts screaming ( they are actually a very chatty bunch, so the volume got much louder when they scream >.< ) and hitting the mosquitoes. Wtf!?! Standing there hitting the mosquitoes is like standing in the middle of a battlefield, facing a swarm of flying arrows and pulling out some of the arrows that hit you. So i pushed and hurried them down the flight of stairs. Poor Mr HongKong, for some reason, though he was the front guy, he waited for us in that area and got attacked the most. Should have taken some pictures of his arms and legs. Haha. So many and so big, those marks on his arms and legs. LOL. Got out of the park and just outside the exit of the park is their marketplace. Selling souvenirs, display model of the Queen's head, snacks and food. Surprisely, a huge amount of the vendors can speak korean. After cleaning up in the toilet, we went to have our lunch at one of the seafood restaurant. For NTS1500, you can have a 7 dishes and 1 soup meal. We had our lunch, chatted for a while and left. The gals went back to Taipei and we guys headed for Kee Lung. The bus ride took about 30 mins and inside the vehicle, you can see a electric signboard saying when the driver will make a left turn or right and when the driver is applying the break. Cause the road is pretty much left and right down the mountain. So those passengers who are standing will be swaying quite forcefully to the left and right. The signboard is to notify you to standby for the impact of the turns. >.<

The first thing i saw when i got off the bus is this statue of liberty with macdonald sign beside it. >.< Nice! Statue of Liberty also came to Yeh Liu for a holiday break, and decided to have some Macdonald's? The dog is cute right? Looks like a big stuff toy. Its real, not a toy! Anyway, the dogs here looks cute and some of their hair are trimmed in cute and funny manner. =D

This is KeeLung night market. The place Jay Chou film his MV Tui Hou. Quite a number of the vendors selling food and drinks are younger than me. Guys and gals alike. The one selling clothes in other part of KeeLung looks mostly like Taiwan's ah lians and ah bengs. And yeah, in the Kee Lung district, i can see more ah bengs than any other part of Taipei.

Look carefully and you will see frogs, big ones, still alive in the water tank... Yucks! Everything looks too big for my appetite. We only shopped for awhile, cause its all the same here as in the rest of the nightmarket we went. But its definitely very big and lots of food options to choose from.
We took our time walking to the Train Station and i went straight for the toilet after we bought our train tickets.. After using the urinal, i proceed out to use the basin outside of the toilet. To my huge surprise, a lady walked in.. I was like WtF!?! Did i enter a toilet thats meant for the ladies? I thought, No, it can't be. Ladies toilet don't have standing urinal.. And there are other guys in it too. So i looked at her and see what she's doing. She doesn't dress like a cleaner. ( Yeah, cleaner here is Taiwan can come in and clean anytime, you just go about your business, they will go about theirs. >.< So i decided to take this picture for pure entertainment value.

The train station also post funny caption like this.

Yes, i do know its for safety purpose. But seriously, if i wanna kill myself by jumping into the track, i wouldn't even notice or give a damn about the sign. >.<" The ride back cost NT$43 for the slow train. There's 3 speed you can choose from, slow, mid or fast. Costs varies with the speed obviously. Took us an hour to get back to Taipei Main Station. Dropped by Ximending for some dinner and headed straight for hostel. Cause im wearing soggy socks for the whole day and it's getting on my nerves. We reached about 9pm and the Korean gals about 10.30pm. They celebrated with beers in our room, and i had myself a mineral water. Healthy lifestyle?! lol. They said they wanted to stay awake for the rest of the night cause it is their last night. But when the conversation started to slow down, i played some ballad songs and that set them into dreamland. Haha. Everyone will be flying off to diffent location tomorrow, and i will be the only one left again, as usual. >.<
