VIP Treatment and dinner in Taiwan
WooHooO!~~ I wanna start off this post with this statement.
I'm SO RICH I FLEW TO TAIWAN JUST TO HAVE DINNER! Yeah, now i got it off my chest. Feels better.. Lol.
The above statement is true, in every sense of the word. Lol. I really did fly over to taiwan just to have my dinner. And definitely got VIP treatment too. How did it happen?
Well, i took a flight there, like any normal person would. While in the plane, this 50yr old uncle sitting beside me, decided to chat with me cause he was bored. So through the conversation, i came to know this facts about him. He is proud he has 2 sons, and a wife. A business job that allows him to travel overseas frequently, especially to Taiwan. He also told me about, having a taiwanese gf in singapore and one in taiwan. Telling me how great they are, and i should get myself one, if not just for the convenience of having a free lodging place and companion while i visit taiwan. Lol. I didn't really think he was telling the truth about that. But he offered to gimme a free ride to ximending after landing, cause his gf was driving over to fetch him. I still didn't believe him, though i didn't tell him that.
Upon landing, he was the first to shoot out of the plane, i followed not so closely behind. When we went to the checkpoint to get our passport chopped. He was the first, of course. And me in second place. Once he was done, he turned to me and said, he will be collecting his luggage first, and ask me to meet him there at the luggage pickup point. Now, i believe he has a gf waiting to pick him up. Lol.
Here is where the fun begins!~ While i was getting my passport chopped, the officer chatted with me, asking where will i be staying and stuff. And seemingly interested in my travel plans. And ViOla!~ Out pops another officer! Asking me if i have a visiting visa. Lol. Officer 1 says i'm holding a Singapore passport, why will i need a visa? Officer 2 told him, my visa rights was stripped off for a year because i overstayed one day last yr. HAHA! Supposingly ban will be lifted in 09/09/09. Just a few weeks time... Nice date right? =]
I was led aside and questioned, how i forgot i got ban for a year. And all the shit. I realise i am going to be deported back to Singapore, like a Bangala... So they arranged the next possible flight for me. Which was half an hour's time.
And so, this is where the fun begins. I went to have my dinner alone, while cussing and swearing, what a waste of my time and money. Was so happy to get off the plane, now im going back in again.. Zzz. Lol. So when i had my dinner, i was escorted to the waiting area.
Didn't really have to wait, cause upon reaching, they called out to the passengers who will be sitting at the back rows to board the plane first. And my VIP treatment starts from here. I went in through a special door, without having to queue, while everyone was queuing. I can feel their eyes looking at me and wondering if i am some Singaporean minister's son. I was seated in the front row, those with more leg room. Lol. Ride back home was fcuking boring.. Don't wanna talk about it. Still cussing and swearing a little.
After a grueling 4 hours plus ride. We arrived in Singapore. Again, you know how people are always so gan chiong to be the first to alight and stuff like that. Pulling out their luggage and standing at the aisle trying to be the first, second or third to get off the plane. Again, my name was called. "Mr Willis, will u please kindly follow me" HAhaha. This time i felt their eyes piercing me, wondering who the fcuk is he? Doesn't he need to queue for anything?
I lazily picked up my luggage, and followed the air steward and found 2 officers waiting for me at the door. Wow, more VIP treatment! They escorted me out of the tunnel, and i found myself looking at the limo. HAHA. You know those long luggage car you see zooming around the terminal?
The passengers followed closely behind, and of course. While i was sitting myself down. I turned and glanced at their expression. Priceless. "Huh? Really minister son ar?" kinda look. Hahaha.
And down we zoomed, to the exit of the departure hall. The officer at the counter handed me my passport and documents in a small nice brown envelope. Scanned my thumbprint and I'm free to go. I went out through a side door meant for officers and staff. Even pilots had to queue up to scan their passport, while i scan mine at the counter. HAha.
And there you go. My dinner at Taiwan and VIP treatment. I wasn't lying, was I? =]
PS: If you ever come across a rich person who say they fly to this place and that for dinner or lunch or something like that. Pity them, don't envy. Cause its kinda tiring and time wasting just to do that. Lol. PSS: But its still a fun experience! HAHA.
