Half of Taipei
Went to quite a number of places yesterday. First place was, Danshui, recommended spot by the receptionist. The place is by the sea, with the shops lining up at the coast.

The breeze is a change from the humid weather i have been getting in the city everyday.

The shops are build around the old aged trees. So thoughful. Anyway, the place she recommended wasn't really here, but across the sea. Bali island and some other island. I'm suppose to spend my day hiking or cycling near the mountains. >.< The scenic view would definitely be great though.
While walking up the streets, you will see many artist drawing cartoon portraits, and there was who caught my attention.

Now you know why he caught my eye? He looks more like a rapist than an artist. >.< So i got tricked into being his customers. So did 3 other couples. And the best thing is he sat us all down in a neat curved row and told us, he will be drawing 4 portraits all at once. I'm quite amazed. Took quite a while though, but 4 portraits for 25mins is quite ok right? The result?!

I have no idea how the picture is uploaded sideways. Does it looks like me? WTF!? Sad. He says i look like Yuan Zhu Ming. Who is that? Must be ugly.. Cause the picture is ugly.. One person will cost NT$200, 2 person double the cost.

Walked down the riverside somemore and saw this old man with his drawings.

He uses markers and inks while the rapist artise uses chalk. Different market i guess. I thought i would prefer the markers. >.<"

Got hungry and went for MacDonald, the only place i could find a toilet. Other than starbucks and those cafe. There's no public toilet unless i walk all the way back to Danshui Metro Station. Look at the window panels of the Mac. The coldest Mac i have been to! Chill dude, chill.

Other pictures of Danshui.

The first cybercafe i saw with games like warcraft and all. Not those just for surfing lanshops. Was tempted to go in and play for awhile. >.<
It was still early but my stomach was growling so i stopped by for an early dinner. Since i still couldn't get used to the raw looking food at those street stalls, so i found this neat looking cafe, tucked a small corner of the little Danshui nightmarket.

Family business as it seems, small and cosy. Service as usual, is up to the Taiwanese standard. Only cost me NT$100 for a set meal, consisting of a soup, fried prawn rice and milk tea.
It was only around 7pm and so i decided to head down to another nightmarket. Xingnan nightmarket, just off Nanshijiao Station. To my great disappointment, it is a very small one, and nothing much to see. So i headed up to Lehua nightmartket, station just 2 stops away. And again, it is only slightly bigger than the previous one. So next time, if you only have a few days to spare, skip these 2 nightmarkets. Not worth it. got hungry again and went into this cafe, located in the middle of the market.

Got myself this very tasty looking beef noodle, and yes, it tastes as good as it looks. The best i have eaten so far.
At the end of the street, i found another cybercafe, and since i had nothing much to do, i went in.. Ha.. Stayed there till 6am.. >.<"
