Went for the sound test today at their office, the place where i did my audition.. Most of the contestants i saw, are females.. Maybe this season will be the same as the 2nd season, where most of the finalist are girls. Hmm.. I think the only season with more guys than girls is actually season 1. Even season 3 had more girls than guys. Anyway, i had to dress up today the same day i would be dressing on the actual recording, which is the 16th of August. So that they can have my picture taken for some purpose.. While waiting for my turn, i managed to hear quite a number of them sing, its makes me slightly more confident, as the guys i hear are a bit weaker than i had expected.. Some of the girls were pretty amazing though. After i did my sound check, which was pretty fast, as i already knew what to sing and i would be singing in the O key, the keyboard laoshi said i had pretty good key pitch and said i should do quite ok. Since i didn't hear him saying it to others, i assume he was praising me, and maybe see that i would make it quite far. Lol. I really hope so.. I'm quite confident of my voice.. Just that my voice is still not in tip top condition. And the keyboard laoshi could hear that too and recommend i stop singing till the actual day itself.. Just keep thinking of the theory instead of doing the practical stuff. Thats what he said.. So i guess this one week, i would be thinking of how i want to present the song and not be singing at all. The nannies were quite nice to me, since i'm one of the few foreigners. YEah, they are known as the "nai ma" because they will be taking care of us during the competition. I really hope to make it far, please keep your fingers cross for me guys! I gotta go buy a taiwan sim card now.. So i probably wouldn't be using my Sg one..
