Woohoo~ Been awhile since my talentquest finals. Sorry for not updating here earlier. Haha. Cause I thought I should wait for the pictures to be upload by my friend. Thanks Salena for the pictures.

Whats a blog without pictures? =]

The finals for Talentquest. Ah~ Another voting competition. I just hate it. No offense to the organisers though. But I think that the one who wins it might not be the most talented singer or performer. So I did what I thought was right for it. I asked all my friends who came to support me, not to cast a single vote. It is impossible to win if you don't have a vote in the finals. Especially when everyone is pretty strong to have gotten into the finals. So a 30% votes from the public will be very important.

After I sang, the MC of the day, Peifen from 9.33fm. Said one thing that really makes my day. She said when I was singing the song "Superwoman" the people below the stage all had one similiar expression. =O yeah. Jaws open, astound. Impress! Whatever it is. Thats good. And she said even Gary Cao would have been proud of my performance.

Its the first time I sang on a club's stage. The venue was held at The Arena, by the way. The judges all gave good comments. And i was on cloud 9. Haha. Results were announced. The results for vocal group and solo category pretty much stunned the crowd, cause of the public voting system. The winner weren't who they thought it would be. I didn't expect to win though. Cause there wasn't a single vote. Winning isn't that important to me anymore. I know very well where I stand in a singing competition. Not because I'm cocky or proud. I still remain humble, but I'm doing it more for the experience and being able to perform on stage and impress people. I'm contented to sing and entertain and make people love the song more. To tell a beautiful story through singing it.

Of course, after the competition, we spent more money on drinking. I think we spent around 300bucks? Lol. It could easily gotten me 1st. I would have love to keep the trophy though. =[

But one more thing that got me all happy was, one of the judges, came up personally to tell me, I did great, better than when he saw me in Singapore Idol. I didn't perform well on Singapore Idol cause I was super tired and english songs just isn't my forte. He could see that. And he said, if my friends had voted for me, I could have gotten 1st or 2nd easily. That was great! I guess he felt so guilty that he had to tell me that personally. And I thank him personally for that.

But I should have allowed my friends to vote for me.. Since all of them paid the bloody entrance fee of 15bucks to support me. And quite alot of them came. I'm so touched.. I should have won it for them. And again, they felt guilty that they didn't voted for me. While i feel guilty that I didn't allow them to vote and didn't win it for them. Who would like to come support your friend and see him lose? Lol.

Sorry guys! But seriously! Thanks for coming! And "celebrating" after that. Haha. Love you all to bits. =]

Have I been busy lately? Sort of. I still have one semi finals for Stardust2010. Its held this saturday at Bishan Junction 8. The rooftop area. Singing a 3 min version of 世界唯一的你. Yup, didn't have time to practise. So I just picked a familiar song. Haha.

Suppose to guest judge for Kovan Superstar2010 too. Audition round. But the timing clashes with that of my semi finals this saturday. I'm going to try to win this last competition. Because I started my first singing competition and won it. So I would like to end my competition days with a win too. Competition is strong. So all the best to me!~ =]

I doubt my Ep Album will be out on time.. What with my competitions and random stuff.. Will try to get it done ASAP. Sorry for the wait. Hope it is worth it for you~

Well, last week was spent preparing for my semi finals for Talent Quest which was held at Millenia Walk. Started asking alot of friends to support me as it requires some voting.. Zzz. Don't you just hate voting competitions? Winning will be all about who's got the fattest wallet. Right?

Started the day with the soundcheck at 12pm. There were alot of feedback from the mics. It was quite terrible.. Adding to that misery was having the stage at the centre of the mall, where the ceiling was super high. Like 20 storeys high at least. So you can imagine the echo when you sing. HAha. It was something like singing at the 7th Month Festival. So since things were going so bad i decided to sms all my supporters not to show up. At least those i know were coming.

The competition started with the group category. The judges from SOMA were kinda irritated by the sound system problems throughout the singing. So they had to take a break to fix the sound themselves. Haha. Very bad inexperience AV..

Finally the Vocal Solos. I was the first. Luckily the sound was done properly by then. So i managed to sing well. The only problem for me was my dry throat, so i was been extra conscious when i was hitting the high notes. Which the experienced judges managed to notice i was focusing more on the vocal techniques of the song rather than the emotions. Haha. Other than that, i passed with flying colours. Everyone sang, and the votings began. It was pretty horrible. I only had 55votes. And this Malay girl had like 900+ votes. The family just came and threw money expecting her to get through to the finals..

Results were out, though i had the lowest votes, i was the first to be called~ Of course thats cause i was the first contestant too. Haha. The girl didn't get through to the finals. 2 of my friends did. Finals will be held at The Arena Anyone wanna go? 15 bucks a tix. After that you can club inside with your friends. HAha. Timing will be 7-10pm.

Special thanks to Ivan and Sebas for being there for me all the while. And for those who came down without telling me. I couldn't inform you not to come. Haha. Thanks anyway guys. Appreciate it, really. =]

Had a talk with my manager yesterday. We will be coming up with my EP Album, which consists of 4 songs. 2 will be done by some big producers, 2 will be done by me. So total of 4 songs will cost you just 5 bucks. This is definitely not a money making deal. Haha. He is gonna lose money doing that. But its our way of showing the supporters what my full length album might be like and as a show of appreciation for waiting and supporting me through this slow times.

Going to NTU tomorrow, to be a judge for Stella Eccellente 4 (it means super star in Italian) Its an inter-hall singing competition. Going down with Ivan and Cat. Let's hope its a fun event. =]

I'm waiting and waiting for so many things currently. And people who knows me knows that i hate waiting for things to be done.. I'm currently waiting for my songs to be arranged so i can record them for my EP album. Competition dates..

Yes, in the meantime i should write more songs and brush up my chinese to write better lyrics. So seriously, whats so bad about waiting?

I guess i have always been avoiding the issues that really bothers me. I have avoided the girl i love for like 23 days now.. Been having sleepless nights ever since!! Situation forces me to leave her, which i think is for her good. Oh well.. Even had to lie to her i have a girlfriend. Tsk tsk~

All this bad stuff i have been posting on my blog and facebook recently. Have been making my friends damn concern.. Haha.. Even those that i never thought would bother sms me or msn me to ask if i'm ok. So touch~

While writing this post, she sms me.. Good luck and stuff for the competition later on.. Haiz.. My voice seems to be in a bad condition.. Otherwise i think i will nail the song easily..

I think one of the steps to becoming a celebrity is to never let people know your love life? And here i am always posting emo stuff on my blog and fb.. I decided this is the last time i will ever let my feelings be made known publicly.. It also worries my friends too much..

So this is the last post you will ever see me talking about my r/s problems~
But i'm really happy you guys are reading it. Happy that there are so many people who cares for me.

I'm really excited about the songs im doing now. Hopefully, i will make you guys proud~ Let's go for it~

Time to try to sleep again. Haha. I took like half a bottle of Pi Pa Gao and my voice is still bad.. I need rest.. But cant seem to get any.. Its alrdy 4am right now.. Gotta try again!! See ya guys tomorrow for the competition. And for those who cant make it. Wait for the good news!
